GPad Storm MAX / ULTRA

GPad Storm is an adventure seeker that finds itself at home both in the city and off the beaten track. Swing-fork with full-suspension, double disc brakes and modern cockpit with catchy black and orange design make this scooter stand out with no comparison.
Storm is an absolute must, if you want to have your city rides to be as comfy as possible and not be afraid of steep hills, bumpy roads or longer distances to cover. The scooter feels stable and well under your control. The stability comes from the frame design, suspension and weight. It might seem a bit heavy, but it is convenient fold and easy to grab to take to the car trunk or couple of steps upstairs. Storm is also recommended for heavier riders. For lighter riders, GPad Svan or Joyride may be a good alternative.
Storm has a modern LCD display and a separate thumb-operated throttle. The LCD shows all the vital stats, including speed, odometer, mode, and battery meter. The dials can be set on the left-hand side with “M”-button next to the power-on switch.
The top range of Storm with 18Ah battery is up to 55kms. That is highly dependent on how you ride. For a 60kg-rider, who stays mostly at low speeds, the range can be more than that. With heavier rider and aggressive riding style, the range may drop. Low tire pressure and low temperature may also contribute to shorter range. For those who want to have more range may opt for GPad Storm Max (26Ah).
The braking feels awesome. Front and rear disc brakes combined with regenerative motor braking are applied simultaneously. These brakes bring the scooter to full stop with less than 5 meters from 25km/h. For heavier riders and when riding downhill, the braking distance can be longer. So, better be safe than sorry – keep your eyes open for potential hazards.
The original 10×2.5″ inch air tires are excellent for city riding. For gravel you may want to consider optional 10×3.0″ hybrid tires or fit full-fledge off-road tires. Storm’s front and rear spring suspension perform well and feel like riding in the clouds. For those, interested in customization, the suspension dampeners can be changed. Storm has a long enough wheelbase, that improves its stability when crossing obstacles (like curbs and potholes) or going off-road.
As any other vehicle, GPad Storm needs some regular checking and maintenance. It’s recommended to perform a quick safety check of tire pressure (3 bars), brakes, lights and potentially loose items before every ride. If assistance is needed, check in to the after sales service suggested by your retailer. It is recommended to service the scooter after the first 200-300kms and then after every 1000kms. Even if nothing needs to be fixed, you will still get some useful tips on how to take better care of your scooter.
Storm is IPX5 resistant. In practice, it is not recommended to ride the scooter in wet conditions, in the rain, through water or snow, wash the scooter with water jets or other liquids.
Storm has 2 year warranty for frame and 6 months warranty for battery against manufacturing or assembly defects. The warranty does not cover wear-and-tear items (like tires, brakes, grips etc.) as well as defects caused by the user or by not following the instructions provided in the user manual. For detailed warranty terms and user manual, please check out the GPad Urban Mobility website.
The list of Storm’s accessories and options includes all basic need: phone holder, additional headlight, handlebar bag, safety lock, helmet, road tires, off-road tires, hybrid tires, winter tires..
GPad Storm has another versions available: Storm Max (26Ah battery and all-wheel-drive)
When riding the GPad Storm, it’s recommended to wear a helmet
